DERMACOL LOVE DAY for the seventh time – traditionally on May 1st in Prague's Grébovka.
The most romantic May Day event in blooming Grébovka is slowly approaching. The fourteenth anniversary of the Prima LOVE channel, a sea of love and beauty, and entertainment for the whole family – this is already the seventh edition of DERMACOL LOVE DAY. This year, it will offer a colorful program dedicated to women, pampering, and comprehensive care for the body and mind. Of course, it will not forget the gentlemen and the little ones, for whom several stations will be prepared. On two stages in the upper and lower parts of Havlíčkovy sady, concerts by singers will delight – featuring Tereza Mašková, Majk Spirit, Petr Kotvald, Adam Mišík, Šimon Opp, and other musical performers. Visitors can look forward to familiar faces from Prima TV, led by hosts Eva Hecko Perkausová, Roman Šebrle, and Eva Decastelo, including autograph sessions with actors from popular series – Friends and ZOO New Beginnings, as well as protagonists from the detective game Traitors. On Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 10 AM to 9 PM, the entire Prague Grébovka will once again transform into the most magical and romantic place where visitors can come to relax and enjoy traditional activities associated with pampering, love, and beauty. The event will offer a rich program for all family members, two stages, several musical performances, beauty consultations, make-up, massages, manicures, and even children's workshops. The popular Prima LOVE zone will also be present, with the opportunity to try out a dubbing studio. This year, the event will also have a charitable aspect with presentations from the organizations Fuck Cancer and Nedoklubko z.s. The May Day event has been a celebration of beauty since its inception. The brand Dermacol takes care every year to ensure that women feel pampered and beautiful, preparing many activities for this year's edition. “We look forward to beautifying and perfuming the entire Grébovka for the seventh time this year. We will present many new things for the whole family, but the most important addition to the May Day kiss is our kiss-proof lipstick 16H Lip Colour, which we will apply on-site. And not just that!” invites Věra Komárová, co-owner of the Czech family company Dermacol, to the popular event. Entry to DERMACOL LOVE DAY is, as always, free for all visitors. It is again possible to purchase a special Dermacol bag for just 349 CZK, which allows you to get your make-up done, have your nails painted, and take home gifts worth at least 1,000 CZK! New Spiral in 2025: tenorist and nominee for the Anděl award Pavel Černoch, premiere of the retro-futuristic revue The Saturn Revue, concert of Squid Game and Vojta Dyk
One of the most significant events of last year at the Exhibition Grounds was undoubtedly the opening of the New Spiral after twenty-two years, which has already hosted dozens of performances, both as part of its own productions and third-party events. The space of the stage, which was supposed to be demolished a few years ago, was opened by the musical show Resurrection, from which visitors can also look forward to repeats this year. In addition, the own production presented, in collaboration with Live Creation, the romance The Bridges of Madison County based on the literary work by Robert James Waller, which is also very popular, and this year the Spiral will offer more repeats. In the fall, however, this multi-genre space will present another of its premieres, the variety show The Saturn Revue in co-production with Deep Side Production. The retro-futuristic revue promises a unique show against the backdrop of a strong love story between two different beings. There will also be dozens of other events, including a concert by Vojta Dyk, a concert for Squid Game, and yet-to-be-announced concerts by foreign artists. This year, a small hall of the New Spiral will also open, which will be a space for music parties, children's theater performances, and modern dance shows.
World tenor Pavel Černoch, accompanied by the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava and guests, will resonate in the New Spiral - At the Exhibition Grounds in April.
The multi-genre space Nová Spirála at the Exhibition Grounds will welcome world-class tenor Pavel Černoch this April, who has recently been nominated for an Anděl Award in the classical category for his album Smetana Arias. His performances in the Czech Republic are rather unique, but Pavel Černoch feels at home on the most prestigious stages of the world’s theaters and opera houses. Therefore, anyone looking forward to another opportunity to enjoy the beauty and power of the voice of this Brno native, who has performed on stages such as La Scala, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Covent Garden in London, and Opéra Bastille in Paris, should hurry to purchase a ticket for one of the two exceptional performances at Nová Spirála at the Exhibition Grounds. This will take place on April 15 and 16 in the large hall of Nová Spirála, and visitors can look forward not only to Pavel Černoch himself but also to the accompaniment of the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava, as well as his guests Radka Fišarová, Michaela Štiková Gemrotová, and Hana Holišová. Together, they will present the best of opera arias, as well as songs from world-renowned and beloved musicals, perhaps from the pen of Andrew Lloyd Webber or Leonard Bernstein.
