Prague Zoo will offer free special pre-Christmas tours for kindergarten and elementary school students from December 2 to 20. These guided tours will focus on creatures known primarily from fairy tale books or television screens and will debunk various ingrained myths associated with them. What does a real devil look like? Where do mythical dragons live? And what is the truth about dancing lemurs? All this and much more will be revealed to the children during the tours, which can be booked now. Schools can take advantage of a favorable pricing scheme for school groups – kindergarten students will pay 50 CZK, while elementary school students will pay 100 CZK for entry to the zoo.

We invite you to the National Theatre Ballet SCHEHERAZADE.

The story of Scheherazade is known from the oriental tale One Thousand and One Nights, and its archetypal principle has inspired world art. Nikolai A. Rimsky-Korsakov created a symphonic suite of the same name, and Mikhail Fokin staged the first ballet in 1910. Now, choreographer Mauro Bigonzetti has been captivated by Scheherazade's beauty and wit, resulting in a new original production for the National Theatre Ballet. Unlike the Paris premiere, he has placed only two main characters on stage, King Shahryar and Scheherazade. They represent the masculine and feminine principles, balance, and an equal authentic relationship. The fate of the ancient "Shahrazad" was fulfilled in Persia in the 10th century. However, its message is meta-temporal and meta-spatial. These are deeply internalized themes that are passed down from generation to generation and always find a new form adapted to the culture of the time in which they appear.

Irish Wolfhound: The largest dog in the world deceives with its body.

The Irish Wolfhound, an impressively majestic dog, is known as the largest breed in the world. This breed excels in its size, strength, but also in its gentle nature and loyalty. Its history dates back thousands of years when Irish warriors used these imposing dogs as fighters and hunters. Wolfhounds earned their reputation in battles against wolves and were also valued as hunters of large game, including deer and wild boar. But how did these dogs come to the Czech lands, where they are currently also winning the hearts of dog lovers?
