The first Prague farmers' market held outdoors this year, which welcomed customers in mid-January, was Heřmaňák. It is open regularly every Saturday at Řezáčovo Square in Prague 7. On Saturday, February 1, two more will join it – the Náplavka farmers' market in Prague 2 and the Kubáň farmers' market in Prague 10.
The Archdiocesan Charity Prague is organizing the traditional Three Kings Parade in the center of the capital city on Friday, January 3, 2025. The grand event will begin at 3 PM with a blessing at St. Thomas Church in Malá Strana and will culminate in an evening concert at Old Town Square.
On Monday and Tuesday, Prague Zoo will scent the Christmas trees. Thematic enrichment will be provided during special guided feedings for more than ten species of animals. For example, for elephants, bison, or porcupines, unsold conifers will be not only a treat but also great fun. Curious kea parrots will explore the trees, and our golden piglets, the African brush-tailed porcupines from the Dja Reserve, will also play with them.

To get into the festive spirit and enjoy the scent of mulled wine or to buy handmade products, many people head to the capital. However, Christmas in Prague doesn't have to be just about the markets, which often burst at the seams with the influx of tourists. For unique experiences, there is also the interactive exhibition Pilsner Urquell: The Original Beer Experience at Wenceslas Square.
On Sunday, December 1st, Prague Zoo will light the Christmas tree at Veselovského meadow. Visitors can look forward to a traditional procession to the tree, a nativity scene, and the presentation of a new adoption campaign. The Christmas atmosphere will also be enhanced by carols performed by a children's choir. From 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM, entry for all visitors will be a symbolic 50 CZK.
