Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour in Prague

Since 2008, when Katy Perry debuted with Capitol Records with the song "One of the Boys," she has amassed a total of 115 billion streams and sold over 70 million albums and 143 million tracks worldwide. Katy is the best-selling artist in Capitol's history and is one of only twelve artists in history to surpass 100 million certified units with their solo singles – and the very first artist to achieve the elite status of Capitol Records in 2015 with 10 million certified RIAA singles. She also became the first artist in RIAA history to receive three RIAA diamond singles – for the songs "Firework," "Dark Horse," and "Roar." Since then, she has added several more to her collection, with "California Gurls" (feat. Snoop Dogg), "E.T.," and "Teenage Dream," whose single and album both received DIAMOND status. Katy now has six singles and one album, totaling SEVEN titles with diamond certification.

The album One of the Boys, which is now certified 3x platinum, included the hits “I Kissed A Girl” (6x platinum) and “Hot N Cold” (8x platinum). Katy's second studio album, the diamond-certified Teenage Dream (2010), brought not only the songs “E.T.” and “Teenage Dream” (single) but also huge hits “Firework” and “California Gurls,” each of which achieved diamond certification (10x platinum).

In 2013, the 5x platinum PRISM followed. When the official music videos for “Dark Horse” and the 15x platinum “Roar” each surpassed three billion views, Katy became the first female artist to achieve this milestone. “Roar” has just crossed the four billion view mark, while ‘Dark Horse’ recently surpassed one billion on Spotify, where Katy boasts an impressive more than 57 million monthly listeners with over 30 million followers.

The testimony from 2017 included the 2x platinum song “Chained to the Rhythm” (feat. Skip Marley) plus platinum hits “Bon Appétit” (feat. Migos) and “Swish Swish” (feat. Nicki Minaj). The song “Never Really Over” from her latest album SMILE earned a platinum certification and was the most streamed start of Katy's music career. The album also features gold-certified singles “Daisies” and “Harleys in Hawaii.” The SMILE album has sold over 2.5 million adjusted albums, with the total number of streams to date exceeding 4 billion.

In addition to being one of the best-selling female music artists of all time, Katy is also an active advocate for many philanthropic causes. In 2013, Katy was appointed a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF and used her powerful voice to ensure every child's right to health, education, equality, and protection. Katy is also a champion for LGBTQ+ equality and has received numerous awards for her work, including the Trevor Project Hero Award in 2012, the Human Rights Campaign National Equality Award in 2017, the amfAR Award of Courage in 2018, and the Variety Power of Women honor in 2021 for her work with her own Firework Foundation, whose mission is to empower children from disadvantaged communities by igniting their inner light through art.

Similarly, Katy has focused her entrepreneurial talent on her eponymous shoe line, Katy Perry Collections, and on selected companies that aim to improve health and wellness. She is a board member of Bragg, the maker of the famous apple cider vinegar, supported Impossible Foods, a producer of plant-based meat, and actively invests in Apeel Sciences, which focuses on technology to extend the shelf life of fresh produce, improving quality and reducing food waste, and in Samsara, which deals with environmental technologies and creates infinite recycling to end plastic pollution. Recently, Katy co-founded De Soi, a line of sparkling non-alcoholic aperitifs ready to drink with natural adaptogens, in collaboration with AMASS, a producer of clean botanicals.

Katy has just completed her critically acclaimed residency in Las Vegas, PLAY. When the show “American Idol” returned to air in 2018, Katy joined as a judge. She has just finished her seventh and final season in the series of this show. Her new album 143 is now coming out.

There are places that a person cannot invent from a desk. They must develop slowly. Years. Decades. Sometimes even whole centuries. One such place is the Bürgerhaus U Váhy on Nádražní Street in Smíchov. A building that appears unremarkable at first glance hides within it the story of old Smíchov, family traditions, honest cuisine, and hospitality that is not often seen today.
