“Although it seems almost impossible after all his outbursts, Lavi receives an offer from an English club. And as one might expect, he is not exactly well-versed in foreign languages, so the viewers can look forward to some very interesting conversations and their surprising outcomes,” the creators hinted at the story. As the lead actor, director, and producer of the film Jakub Štáfek revealed, the shooting was anything but simple. “We often went really over the edge, so I was quite harmed as an actor on the set of the sequel and I took home quite a few bruises. But I hope that these things, which generate incredible fun, will be appreciated by the viewers,” the actor explained.
In the continuation of the story of the fundamentally incorrect Lavi, all the familiar faces from the “first part” will of course appear, including Jakub Štáfek, Šárka Krausová, Jakub Jenčík, Jakub Prachař, Ondřej Pavelka, Jiří Ployhar, Ivana Chýlková, David Prachař, Jana Kolesárová, Jaromír Bosák, Jaroslav Plesl, and others.
However, there will also be new characters portrayed by actors (Lukáš Vaculík, Václav Neužil, Filip Březina, or Jakub Děkan) and those waiting for sports stars will not be disappointed – for example, Jan Koller, Pavel Nedvěd, Tomáš Ujfaluši, Petr Švancara, and many others will make an appearance. The filming of the movie took place in the summer and autumn of 2024 in the Ústecký region, in Prague, in England, Argentina, and other places around the world.
The film, based on a script by Tomáš Vávra, was once again directed by Jakub Štáfek along with director Martin Kopp. The first part premiered in Czech cinemas in April 2022, where it was seen by over 700,000 viewers. The release of Vyšehrad on VOD platforms was also very successful. Vyšehrad Dvje will thus arrive in cinemas exactly three years after the first film, just before Easter.
