The founder of the Ungelt Theatre, Milan Hein, is celebrating his 80th birthday - Big congratulations from the PragMoon editorial team.

On August 13, 2026, Milan Hein, the founder of the Prague Ungelt Theatre, will celebrate a significant life milestone of 80 years. From a damp Old Town cellar, he has built one of the most respected chamber stages in the Czech Republic over more than three decades. Although he retired in 2025, becoming an "emeritus principal," he remains the driving force of the entire theatre. This year, he opened a new theatre café - Café Hein - and still performs in two productions.

The summer stage of the Ungelt Theatre is almost sold out. However, the theatre still offers a number of great performances.

Interest in this year's Summer Stage has exceeded expectations. By the end of July, more than 80% of all tickets have been sold out, yet the theater program continues until mid-September, and audiences still have plenty to choose from.
